Israel Innovation Day June 16th, 2008 Axel Springer, Berlin General Background This event is a creative idea of both co-chairmen of the EU-Israel Business Dialogue, Mathias Deopfner, CEO of Axel Springer and Yossi Vardi, Israeli Internet Entrepreneur. The special innovation B2B event will be held in the Axel Springer Passage with the focus on Media technologies. Relevant players from the industry and relevant investors from the German market will be invited. This event is jointly organized with the Investment Promotion Centre and the Foreign Trade Administration at the Israeli Ministry of Industry Trade & Labor (MOITAL), the Israeli Export and International Cooperation Institute (IEICI) and the Trade Center in Berlin. The day will include a 5 minutes presentation of each selected Israeli company, networking opportunities and pre-scheduled meetings with relevant Axel Springer individuals and senior management. Each Israeli company will have its own booth at the Axel Springer Passage as a marketing tool for the company. Invited to the event are: Axel Springer management, relevant people from other media companies, ICT companies and VC’s in Germany Event Objectives Expose Israeli technologies and solutions applicable to the relevant decision makers in Axel Springer and others from the media sector in Germany Conduct productive meetings with executives from AS and other companies under the hospitality of AS. Parties involved in the Innovation Day Axel-Springer is hosting Israel Innovation Day-Media and are inviting managers from within their organisation. Israel Trade Center at the Embassy of Israel in Berlin is co-organising the event with Axel-Springer and is inviting other relevant players in the Media and related fields. The Foreign Trade Administration and the Investment Promotion Centre of the Ministry of Industry, Trade & Labor (MOITAL) are co-partnering in the organization of this Israel Innovation Day: Media.
