Kenshoo is looking for a strong independent and entrepreneurial leader to initiate, nurture, and develop new growth opportunities in partnership with our most strategic global partners. Reporting to the GM, Publishers, the Director of Strategic Business Development is critical in identifying and creating new commercial models and growth opportunities for Kenshoo in the EMEA region with our partners. Partnering with Kenshoo’s Managing Director for EMEA, this leadership role will work across our most strategic European partner counterparts as well as Kenshoo’s product, marketing, business intelligence, and sales leadership in developing growth strategies, business cases, identifying new partnership opportunities, and driving strategic projects to grow our business. The primary objective of this leadership role is to establish and nurture trusted partnerships, identifying opportunities that will lead to increased revenue and sales for both Kenshoo and our strategic partners. The successful candidate will have a background in product or technology in order to engage with all personas within our partner organizations.

Position based in London, England

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product and technology teams to drive partner requirements.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our strategic partners’ business strategy, goals, objectives, and growth plans for that region and then act as a champion, influencing Kenshoo leadership to invest and action against those objectives.
  • Generate new partnerships, leading deal negotiations, P&L analysis, revenue and pricing models, in collaboration with sales, finance and operations.
  • Identify and address advantageous business opportunities for Kenshoo by combining strategic insights and data on emerging opportunities and new innovative marketing products with an understanding of Kenshoo's business units.
  • Drive strategic partner initiatives, aligning product, marketing, sales, client success, and partner leads to maximize value for both Kenshoo and partners.  
  • Coordinate with both internal teams and external partners to ensure adoption of Kenshoo's solutions in high growth verticals. 
  • Conduct market analysis and organize competitive intelligence. Provide strategic guidance based on findings. Share insights and key learnings with executives and Kenshoo business leaders.
  • Identify gaps in our solution offerings and help identify partnership opportunities that further our product strategy in emerging areas.
  • Support sales cycles and client meetings as an industry expert in search / social media.
  • Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with strategic partners.
  • Understand Kenshoo’s corporate and business development strategy, product roadmap, supporting key partnerships with data insights, and analysis.
  • Exceed strategic partner expectations by responsiveness, adaptability, and providing insights, issues, and partner growth opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Solid product and technology experience. You’re not an engineer but you’re able to discuss product and technology with peers and partners.
  • You’re a business person who understands revenue and business models and has the curiosity to dig into data, perform analysis, and leverage it to your advantage.
  • A savvy negotiator who engages with confidence, finesse, and an executive presence.

Requirements

  • Experience in a product management or technology role a plus.
  • BA/BS preferably in marketing, business, finance, or a related field. MBA a plus.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Strategic Business Development, Product Management and/or management consulting.
  • 5+ years Marketing Industry experience (preferably in the social media or search advertising space, Display Marketing or strong background in other Advertiser Technologies), including client-facing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large complex projects.
  • Experience in a leadership role.
  • Ability to drive results across cross-functional teams, manage and influence, and work collaboratively in a global matrixed organization.
  • Ability to learn and understand the intricacies of Kenshoo's products and technology.
  • Solid understanding of the private equity, venture capital markets a plus.
  • Strategic sales experience a plus, particularly in a SaaS environment.
