The data, posted to Kenshoo Social’s Facebook Timeline, shows marketers increasing ad budgets with Facebook at a faster rate than with search engines. Over the course of H1, Kenshoo Social clients grew ad spend on Facebook by 36% while Kenshoo Enterprise and Kenshoo Local clients grew paid search ad budgets by 12%.

To determine growth in advertiser spend on Facebook, Kenshoo examined aggregate data across Kenshoo Social clients, including more than 120 billion global Facebook Marketplace ad impressions. The Kenshoo Social clients included in this research are global advertisers covering a wide range of industries, including retail, automotive, telecommunications, entertainment and finance. Growth in paid search advertising was culled from an aggregation of Kenshoo Enterprise and Kenshoo Local clients across verticals, covering more than 250 billion global paid search ad impressions on search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, AOL, Baidu, and Yandex.
