This time of year, our clients experience lots of seasonal changes. Travel clients are gearing up for the summer season and shuddering up winter locals, and we just saw a flurry of activity in financial services across the U.S. as seasonal offices for tax preparation opened, and then closed. In Kenshoo Local, clients maintain “profiles” for businesses like these that have their own seasonality, location and budget. Maintaining these profiles is critical to good performance and reporting – and easily done with Kenshoo Local.

Turn it Off

With Kenshoo Local, you can “decommission” unused profiles simply by archiving them, and tagging them with the reason(s) for organization and statistical purposes.

Archiving a profile is as simple as changing its status. The Set Status dropdown in the All Profiles performance grid toolbar has a new status entitled Archive. All you have to do is select the profile or profiles you want to archive and then set the status to Archive. You are prompted to select one or more reasons for archiving the profile; you can also enter your own reason.

Gather Data

Archiving a profile pauses all the campaigns in the profile and also pauses channel account activity to ensure that you do not receive external performance reports such as channel performance reports on that profile. Additionally, while the profile remains archived, you can continue to make changes to its campaigns.

As time goes by, you can generate reports to review your archived profiles and make decisions on when to reactivate them.

Fix the Issues

You can also generate an Archive Summary report. This report provides details about archived profiles and gives you insights into the reasons for the archival, the performance data in the period prior to the archival, and gives you details on performance metrics for the profiles for the three-month period before the profiles were archived. This kind of information is very powerful in helping you better understand campaign performance and churn. Now, you can better assess the common causes for churn and pinpoint appropriate responses to minimize it.
